~ TOURNAMENT DETAILS ~

FORMAT:

Teams will play against fellow competitors in their flight to accumulate points based on whether they win, lose or halve a hole. Teams will compete in 5 nine-hole matches over the course of two days. A total of 9 points per match will be allocated.

WIN the Hole: 1 Point

HALVE the Hole: ½ Point

LOSE the Hole: 0 Points

After the completion of all 5 nine-hole matches, the team with the most points from each flight will compete in a shootout. 

 

Champion:

  • Best Ball Net Shoot Out Winner
    • Stroke off low handicap player

 

  • Shoot Out Holes: #11, 12, 17 (3 hole aggregate score)
    • All flight winners play in the shoot out
    • Stroke off low handicap player
    • Top two teams after three hole aggregate go back and play 17 again to determine winner
    • If tie for top 2 teams, tie breaker is Closest to Pin from 100 yards to determine final two teams

HANDICAPS:

All handicaps will be based off the World Handicap System.  See handicap policy page for further details.

TEES: Tees will not change throughout the event.

Medal (BLUE) is standard for all play.

Jones (BLUE/WHITE)

Match (WHITE)

Sarazen (GOLD/WHITE) 

Forward (GOLD)

You must present valid ID with Birthday to qualify for any tees other than the Medal (Blue Tees). You may not change tees at any time. Once you sign up for a tee, you play that tee for the duration of the tournament.

FLIGHTS:

Flight information will be based off team handicap indexes. Each flight will have six teams per flight. See Flight details for further details.

RULES:

USGA Rules will apply along with WGC local rules.

TIES:

If there is a TWO-way tie for 1st place, winner will first be decided by head to head match. If still tied, winner will be decided by score vs 3rd place team, then 4th place and 5th place if needed. If still tied, then a three-hole cumulative score with the three hardest holes used for the head to head match until a winner is determined.

If there is a THREE or more-way tie for 1st, winner will first be decided by team who scored most points in matches among those tied. With three teams, you would look at the two matches against the other winners to see who scored most points in those two matches. If still tied, winner will be decided by score vs 4th place team and then 5th place team if needed.

 

If there is a tie for 2nd place, follow same process:

DAILY GAMES:

  • Optional Cash game: High points per day. Daily payouts in cash based on participation. Entry - $60 for all 3 days - $20/day towards daily pots
  • Gross and Net Skins - Thursday and Friday

RAIN OUT POLICY:

It is our hope that this event is not effected by weather.  Should this occur the following policy will be followed:

  • 36 holes of match play will constitute a full event being played.  We will make every opportunity over the three days to play at least 4 matches with time for a shootout
  • Most points following 36 holes will qualify for the shootout.  Ties will be broken by head to head (if possible), common opponent (using best team first), 
  • If less than 36 holes is played all betting money will be refunded.
